Wookey Hole Cave Aged Cheddar to sponsor Wells Festival of Literature
Ford Farm is delighted to be sponsoring the Wells Festival of Literature with its Wookey Hole Cave Aged Cheddar brand.
The Festival, featuring a number of high profile luminaries from the literary world, starts on Friday 19th October and ends on Saturday 27th October.
Wookey Hole Cheddar will be sponsoring a talk by Alan Titchmarsh on the evening of the 24th October, at which he will be introducing his latest novel, the Scarlet Nightingale. The talk will be followed by a book signing.
Tanys Pullin, the wife of one of Ford Farm’s Directors is delighted to be supporting the event with Wookey Hole Cave Aged Cheddar, a traditional farmhouse cheddar which is matured in the neighbouring village of Wookey Hole, 200 underground in a dedicated cheese cave.
‘Mike and I have lived together near Wells for coming up to 26 years. We always look to support community events and the Wells Festival of Literature is a perfect match for our Wookey Hole Cave Aged Cheddar Brand. My wonderful mum, to whom I was exceptionally close, was taken away from me far too early after she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. Before then, when she was fit and active, she was a keen gardener and tended the cathedral deanery gardens for many years. Alan Titchmarsh was her absolute favourite and she used to watch Gardener’s World religiously. So when I saw he was speaking at the Festival, he had to be my choice. I’m very much looking forward to meeting him.’
Tanys will present Alan with a Ford Farm Cheese Hamper featuring Wookey Hole Cave Aged Cheddar after the talk.
